"My dad bought this '73 Apollo in 93 in Arkansas
for 250 dollars. Back then it
had oil pressure problems, rusty green paint
(surface rust), and bald tires.
It only has 68,000 miles on it, which about 20,000
are ours. It has had
many more problems in the time we have owned
it, but I keep fixing what
breaks. The engine burnt a valve along
with the oil pressure problems, so we
had the engine rebuilt; however, it leaks oil
like a sieve. The engine is an
overheating 350 points ignition two barrel that
produces a wheezy 165 hp. It
also has air, which doesn't work, but I'm fixing
it. The suspension is in
perfect condition. I installed new PST
springs and Koni shocks (the car had
the original shocks before I replaced them),
and this thing can take a corner
as well or better than any new car, and better
than any suv/truck could ever
dream, although it needs new sway bar bushings,
and the steering box is in
need of a rebuild."
Beautiful car...Close to the same color as my
first...
