Dear.... well Apollo:
Wow, I dont know where to start, I could go on for a very long time
but I will
keep it as brief as I can. I've enclosed 3 photos of my Apollo Love,
she was
the greatest.
It 1st started when my Dad purchased a new 1974 Buick Apollo 350, Hatchback,
bright red. I was in my early teens and knew my mom had the hottest
car
around. Of course over the years I had my eye on it. She let me drive
it most
of the time, but of course it was here car so I couldnt do any modifications
:(
Then came the big day Graduation.....my gift, from my mother and father
was
my moms 1974 Buick Apollo. It was like a dream come true, as I had
my eye on
her for so long. Although at this time it was 1980, she was now 7 years
old
and still cherry, with only 15,000 miles on her.
Well needless to say, I was a young hot rodder, and she didn't last
too long.
My Apollo and I met with a telephone pole in what we called at the
time a "Rat
Race" at approx 80 miles per hour. One heck of an impact, she
split the pole
in 2 places and went another 150 feet before she came to a stop. Considering
all she held up quite well but only salavagable for parts.
I was heart broken.......But I knew there was hope I would find another.
It
took months but finally in the city of Boston, I found someone to take
her
place. A 1974 Buick Apollo GSX, 350, 2 dr, sedan. My oh my she was
hideous
when I took here home, but I knew between both of them this car would
continue
to be my pride and joy. And finally almost another 5 years later, between
both
the 74 hatchback and the 74 GSX I had the Hot Rod I always new the
Buick
Apollo was meant to be.
Well like I said I could go on for quite a while as the Apollo dominated
my
interest in automobiles for almost 12 years. Ahh well that was 15 years
ago,
but your homepage truly brought back many fond memories of the days
past.
Who knows maybe some day I'll own another Apollo !!!!!!
Take care I really enjoyed visiting your site.
Sincerely
A guy who loved his Apollo
With the help of the totalled '74, the GSX turned out like this:

And before it looked
like this it looked like:
And the accident of his first caused this terrible sight:
